Submission Guidelines

Important Dates

December 3, 2019 -- January 25, 2020 -- Online Submissions Accepted

February 3rd -- Email notification to students, and winning submissions are posted

February 15th from 10am to 12pm – Work Accepted and Delivered to El Centro College

February 24th - March 25th – Exhibit Open at El Centro

March 25th from 6PM to 8PM – Awards Reception. Awards Ceremony begins at 7PM.


Gallery Location: H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery at El Centro College at Main and Lamar Streets in Downtown Dallas at 801 S. Main Street.

Entry Fee

$7.00 PER PIECE. Each student may submit up to three entries.


Ceramics, Digital Imaging, Drawing, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting & Watercolor, Photography, Print making, and Sculpture

All works must be titled and the category must be specified (i.e., jewelry or mixed media).

Submission Guidelines

Submissions are only accepted from current High School students

All works must be original and must have been completed on or after January 2019. (Works must not have been completed more than one year ago)

Any copies of another student’s work are unacceptable.

Collaborative works are acceptable but must be properly identified by listing all artists involved.

Work displayed must be identical to work submitted online.

All work must be stable, installation ready, and dry upon delivery.

The gallery and YAT will make the final determination that work meets the submission requirements to be included in the exhibition

Size & Matting Requirements

All 2-D and Photography/Digital art must be matted in gray, white or black and rigidly backed with foam board or cardboard. Framed work is acceptable too.

The matted art must measure no larger then 36 inches x 36 inches.

3-D pieces must be easily carried by two people.

3-D pieces must not exceed 36 inches in any dimensions, including stand or base.
